106-Mile Ferrari F50 Could Set $20 Million Auction Record

The Ferrari F50 has rapidly become one of the marque’s most coveted and valuable collector cars. Now, an example with just 106 miles could sell for more than $20 million at an October 31 auction. That result would establish a new record for the model and nearly quadruple the price of pristine examples from just three years ago. Its exceptionally low mileage likely makes it one of the least-driven F50s in existence.

Ferrari produced only 349 F50s between 1995 and 1997. This final-year car is build no. 334, chassis no. 107165, and was delivered new in the U.K. It has spent almost 30 years parked, and while its first owner barely used it, the car now offers an exceptionally rare chance for a collector to drive what is effectively a near-new F50.

The F50 uses a naturally aspirated 4.7-liter V12 derived from Ferrari’s Formula 1 engine, and fewer were built than its predecessor, the F40. Collectors also appear increasingly willing to pay significant sums for these traditional supercars, which pair large engines with none of the hybrid hardware found in many modern exotics.

Like most F50s, this car wears Rosso Corsa paint, paired with a black Nero interior and Rosso seat inserts. It retains its original removable hardtop, driving shoes, three-piece Schedoni luggage set, and the complete set of original tools and covers for the seats, steering wheel, and car. With so little use, the F50 appears immaculate, from its paint and leather to its chrome exhaust tips, and is likely to draw strong interest from collectors and enthusiasts.

Should this F50 exceed its expected $20 million sale price, it would become the most expensive example ever sold at a public auction. That distinction currently belongs to a yellow Giallo Modena F50 that changed hands for $14.575 million in August. Ferrari built only 31 F50s in that color, which likely helped its value, but the car had 7,253 km on its odometer—far more than this Rosso Corsa example.

Another red Ferrari F50, previously owned by Mike Tyson, sold in the U.S. in August for $12.1 million after accumulating 6,196 miles. In January, an F50 formerly owned by professional golfer Ian Poulter and showing just 252 miles sold for $12.2 million. Although F50 prices have now reached eight figures, that level of valuation is a recent development.

As recently as 2024, most F50s sold at public auction brought between $4 million and $5 million. In August 2025, a 5,400-mile Giallo Modena example once owned by Ralph Lauren sold for $9.2 million, apparently resetting the market benchmark. If Broad Arrow Auctions sells this 106-mile F50 for more than $20 million, the model will join the rarefied ranks occupied by the legendary McLaren F1.

This 1997 Ferrari F50, chassis no. 107165, has covered only 106 miles since delivery in the U.K. and retains its original equipment, making it one of the lowest-mileage examples known. Its potential $20 million-plus result would eclipse the current $14.575 million auction record and mark a dramatic increase from the $4 million-to-$5 million prices common as recently as 2024.
