When Lexus revealed the 2027 TZ in May, it held back many of the specifications. The automaker has now quietly added pricing and powertrain details to its press kit.
The lineup begins with the TZ 450e Premium, priced at $64,050 with the $1,550 destination fee included. That undercuts some versions of the Kia EV9 and puts it just $3,960 above the gasoline-powered TX 350 AWD.
First Look: Lexus’ New TZ Replaces Fake Ruggedness With Quiet Luxury
As the crossover has already been shown, the entry-level model comes with an acoustic windshield and flush door handles. Standard exterior details also include 20-inch wheels and an illuminated grille logo.
Inside, the minimalist cabin features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14-inch infotainment display, and a dual wireless smartphone charger. A panoramic glass roof, thematic ambient lighting, and a 12-speaker audio system are also included.
The TZ has heated and ventilated front seats, second-row captain’s chairs with power recline, and a power-folding third row. Folding the second and third rows creates 91.5 cubic feet (2,591 liters) of cargo capacity.

Power comes from a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system generating 308 hp (230 kW / 312 PS) and 323 lb-ft (437 Nm) of torque. A 77 kWh battery supplies an EPA-estimated 253-mile range (407 km).
The crossover reaches 60 mph (96 km/h) from a standstill in 6.2 seconds and has a 112-mph (180-km/h) top speed. The Premium also features a NACS port, bidirectional charging, and a 2,400-pound (1,089-kg) towing capacity.
Standard driver assistance comes from the Lexus Safety System+ 4.0 suite. Its features include Full-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, and a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, along with Emergency Steer Assist, Intersection Turn Assist, and Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist. Road Sign Assist, Proactive Driving Assist, and Traffic Jam Assist are also included.
TZ Premium Touring

Priced at $72,050, the Premium Touring adds a larger 96 kWh battery that raises the range to 315 miles (507 km). The added weight lengthens the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time to 6.5 seconds, although the top speed remains the same. Towing capacity rises to 3,500 pounds (1,588 kg).
Lexus has not disclosed many other details about the mid-level trim, but it does add features such as rear-wheel steering and a “rear comfort drive mode.”
TZ Luxury

The range-topping Luxury model costs $80,550. It uses the same powertrain as the Premium Touring, but its range falls to 279 miles (449 km).
The lower range is largely attributed to the 22-inch wheels. The Luxury also receives a more powerful braking system with six-piston front calipers and 15.8-inch (401-mm) discs. Lower trims use two-piston calipers with 13.4-inch (340-mm) discs.

In addition to its larger wheels, the Luxury should provide a quieter cabin through acoustic glass for the windshield and both front and rear doors. Other upgrades include a 21-speaker Mark Levinson premium audio system, a front radiant heater, and a distinctive “shimmering effect” for the ambient lighting.
The top trim also includes heated and ventilated second-row seats and a heated third row. Lexus lists an ottoman for the front passenger and the second-row captain’s chairs, whose occupants also get manual sunshades.
Provided plans stay on track, the 2027 Lexus TZ will launch late this year.
The 2027 Lexus TZ will start at $64,050 and offer three trims, with EPA-estimated range reaching 315 miles. The entry-level Premium produces 308 hp and includes extensive standard equipment, while the Premium Touring adds a larger battery and the Luxury brings more upscale features, larger wheels, stronger brakes, and enhanced cabin comfort. Lexus expects the TZ to launch late this year.
