Toyota has made only minor changes to the Corolla Cross for 2027. Anyone familiar with the 2026 model will find the new version largely recognizable, with the main lineup adjustment affecting hybrid buyers. There is also a price increase to factor in.

The key trim change is the removal of the Corolla Cross Hybrid S. The electrified crossover was previously available in S, SE, and XSE grades, but the 2027 range now includes only the SE and XSE. Toyota says the rest of the lineup carries over from the prior model year.

The powertrain lineup is unchanged. Gas models continue with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder making 169 hp (126 kW), connected to a CVT with a physical first gear. Front- and all-wheel drive remain available, with Toyota estimating up to 31 mpg combined for FWD models and 30 mpg combined for those equipped with AWD.

The Hybrid remains the more powerful and efficient option, producing 196 hp (146 kW) and including electronic on-demand all-wheel drive as standard. Toyota estimates identical fuel economy for the SE and XSE: 46 mpg city, 39 mpg highway, and 42 mpg combined. Most of the standard equipment also carries over.

Entry-level models come with an 8-inch infotainment display. A 10.5-inch screen is available on the LE and Hybrid SE and standard on the XLE and Hybrid XSE. Upper trims also feature a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, while wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto remain standard throughout the lineup.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 continues as standard equipment, bringing adaptive cruise control, lane tracing assist, automatic high beams, road sign recognition, and pre-collision braking with pedestrian detection. For 2027, the gas-powered Corolla Cross L with front-wheel drive starts at $25,535, while the now-entry-level Hybrid SE starts at $31,415. Both prices exclude Toyota’s processing and handling fee, which was not listed in the automaker’s latest release.

The 2027 Corolla Cross is expected to reach dealerships this fall. Although the changes are limited, the crossover remains a practical everyday choice, with useful fuel economy, safety technology, interior room, and clever storage solutions. Its price is slightly higher, but the overall package remains largely the same.

The 2027 Toyota Corolla Cross changes little beyond a reduced hybrid lineup and higher pricing. Gas models retain their 2.0-liter engine and front- or all-wheel-drive choices, while the Hybrid SE and XSE continue with 196 horsepower, standard AWD, and an estimated 42 mpg combined. The crossover also keeps its existing technology, safety equipment, practical interior, and storage features.
