Jeep Recalls 201,976 Vehicles Over Tire Pressure Monitoring Software Fault

Jeep is recalling more than 200,000 vehicles in the United States because a software problem could disable the tire pressure monitoring systems owners depend on to warn them about underinflated tires.

If the affected TPMS software malfunctions, the system may not correctly identify low tire pressure or activate the warning light. While drivers once had to check tire pressures themselves, tire pressure monitoring systems now handle that task for millions of motorists.

Because of the defect, the affected Jeep vehicles do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 138.

The recall covers 201,976 vehicles, including 16,456 examples of the 2024-2025 Jeep Wagoneer built between August 27, 2024, and November 23, 2025, along with 113,647 examples of the 2024-2026 Grand Cherokee manufactured from February 13, 2024, through June 12, 2026.

Jeep will begin notifying owners on September 29, 2026. Dealers will correct the problem by installing an updated version of the software free of charge.
