For decades, the Rolls-Royce Phantom has remained a favorite among buyers with virtually unlimited budgets, thanks to its exceptional craftsmanship and refinement. Those seeking a more distinctive option may want to consider this specially commissioned 2027 Mercedes-Maybach S 680.
This Maybach is more exclusive than a typical S 680 because it was created in collaboration with NBA legend LeBron James and closely resembles the car he owns. Built through Mercedes-Benz’s Manufaktur program, it features numerous personalized details. It could be one of the most notable Maybachs in the United States, although its striking design will not appeal to every buyer.
The customization begins with the exterior finish. The sedan wears a non-metallic Light Ivory paint color available only through Manufaktur. Mercedes has also replaced the usual V12 badges on the front fenders with LeBron’s personal logo, while the wheels are finished in the same Light Ivory shade.

The cabin is even more distinctive than the exterior. Stormy Weather blue Nappa leather covers the front and rear seats, door panels, much of the dashboard, and the transmission tunnel. White contrast stitching adds definition, while LeBron’s logo appears on the headrest cushions. A small console badge displays the coordinates of Akron, Ohio, his hometown.
Gooding Christie’s is presenting the car at its Retromobile New York Auctions event on behalf of the LeBron James Family Foundation. Proceeds from the sale will support the foundation’s I PROMISE program, which assists students and families in the Akron area.

“The chance to design my own customized Mercedes-Maybach was something I never even dreamed of as a young kid growing up in Akron,” James said. “To now have the opportunity to uplift my community and the families we serve through this auction means everything to my Foundation as we continue to build an ecosystem of supports that allows them to live out their dreams as well.”
The Mercedes-Maybach S 680 normally starts at $247,250 in the United States, but this personalized example is expected to command more. Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 producing 621 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque.

Designed alongside LeBron James and finished through Mercedes-Benz Manufaktur, this 2027 Maybach S 680 stands apart with Light Ivory paint, blue Nappa leather, custom logos, and Akron-inspired details. Offered by Gooding Christie’s for the benefit of the LeBron James Family Foundation’s I PROMISE program, it pairs its unique presentation with a 621-hp twin-turbocharged V12.
