Replica projects most often imitate supercars worth millions, but some builders choose far more ordinary starting points. This Indonesian Mini Coupe lookalike is one such example, having begun life as a Suzuki Swift.
The unusual vehicle is now being advertised for sale on Facebook Marketplace. Its design takes inspiration from the short-lived Mini Coupe (R58), a two-door, two-seat derivative of the second-generation Mini Hatch (R56) that was produced from 2011 to 2015 alongside the related Mini Roadster (R59).
Although the Mini Coupe has faded from many people’s memories, one Indonesian automotive enthusiast wanted one badly enough to convert their Suzuki Swift into a convincing approximation.

The donor car’s front windshield, A- and B-pillars, doors, and mirrors appear to be the only exterior components retained. Nearly everything else was redesigned with Mini-inspired styling.
The front features round headlights along with a custom grille, bumper, and hood. It lacks several recognizable details, including the Cooper S hood scoop, chrome headlight trim, and plastic wheel-arch cladding. Even so, the side skirts and white alloy wheels give the car a sportier appearance.
The builder cut away the rear section of the roof to create the Mini Coupe’s distinctive profile, then fitted sloping rear glass and a fixed rear spoiler. The redesigned tail includes Mini-style taillights with Union Jack graphics, a sporty bumper with a diffuser, and a custom tailgate. “Swift Sport” decals make the car’s true identity clear.

The Suzuki’s roots are more obvious inside, despite the seats and door panels receiving leatherette upholstery with diamond-quilted inserts. The original dashboard and Suzuki steering wheel remain in place. Adding to the unusual mix of brands, the floor mats carry Toyota Racing Development, or TRD, lettering.
The listing identifies the donor as a 2011 model from the ZC21S generation. With no performance modifications mentioned, it likely retains the standard naturally aspirated 1.5-liter gasoline engine and CVT automatic transmission. That setup cannot match the flagship Mini Coupe’s JCW-tuned turbocharged 1.6-liter engine, but it should be adequate for city driving.
The replica is located in Indonesia’s Sewon region and carries an asking price of IDR 129,000,000 ($7,200). The seller says the electrical systems work, the engine has no leaks, and the interior is clean.

An Indonesian enthusiast has offered a heavily reworked 2011 Suzuki Swift designed to resemble the short-lived Mini Coupe. The build features extensively modified bodywork, Union Jack-style taillights, white alloy wheels, and a retrimmed leatherette cabin, while retaining its Suzuki dashboard and likely stock 1.5-liter engine. Located in Sewon, it is listed on Facebook Marketplace for IDR 129,000,000, or $7,200.
