The Ford Everest is a ladder-frame SUV derived from the Ranger pickup, a model not sold in the US but popular in markets including Australia. For 2027, Ford has expanded the range with the Wolftrak trim, which adds colorful exterior and interior touches along with standard towing equipment.

Previously offered only on the Ranger, the Wolftrak replaces the limited-edition Everest Wildtrak for 2026 with a combination of styling and equipment changes. In the 2027 Everest range, it sits above the Active and Sport grades and below the more rugged Tremor and upscale Platinum.

The special edition misses the Wildtrak’s Matrix LED headlights, but gains Zest Green grille inserts and Wolftrak badges on the doors and tailgate. A honeycomb grille is also included, along with Traction Green paint borrowed from the Ranger Super Duty. Shadow Black and Command Grey provide more restrained alternatives.

The SUV comes standard with matte-black 20-inch alloy wheels and all-season tires. Ford also offers a no-cost alternative consisting of 17-inch alloys with Zest Green inserts and all-terrain tires, aimed at buyers who expect to spend more time away from paved roads.

Inside, the three-row, seven-seat cabin features Traction Green accents on the dashboard, door panels, and leather upholstery, while Zest Green Wolftrak badges appear on the seatbacks. Standard features include an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12-inch infotainment screen, a Pro Power Onboard inverter, and heated and ventilated front seats with 10-way power adjustment for the driver.

The Wolftrak’s standard equipment is designed to support its full 3,500 kg (7,716 lbs) towing capacity. It includes a factory-installed tow bar, an integrated trailer brake controller, a trailer connection alarm, Pro Trailer Backup Assist, and Blind Spot Monitoring with coverage for the trailer’s length.

Two diesel powertrains are available. The entry-level 2.0-liter four-cylinder bi-turbodiesel develops 207 hp (154 kW / 210 PS) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque, while the range-topping 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel produces 247 hp (184 kW / 250 PS) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft). Both engines send power to all four wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission and a 4WD system.

Orders for the 2027 Ford Everest Wolftrak are open in Australia, with prices starting at AU$ 73,000 (US$ 50,900) for the 2.0-liter four-cylinder and AU$ 79,990 (US$ 55,800) for the 3.0-liter V6 diesel. The V6 version costs the same as the V6-only Everest Tremor, which comes with upgraded suspension.

The Ford Everest’s primary Australian rival is the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. It also competes with the Isuzu MU-X, GWM Tank 500, and the upcoming Mitsubishi Pajero.

The 2027 Ford Everest Wolftrak adds a colorful alternative to Ford’s Australian SUV lineup while replacing the previous Wildtrak trim. It combines unique exterior and cabin details with standard towing hardware and a 3,500 kg capacity. Buyers can choose between two turbodiesel engines, four-wheel drive, and either road-focused or all-terrain wheel options, with pricing starting at AU$ 73,000.
