Ford has revealed a range of updates for the 2027 Mustang Mach-E, six years after the electric crossover first debuted. The lineup adds a new Trail Package aimed at light off-road use, makes the extended-range battery standard, and offers a lower starting price for the equivalent version compared with the previous model year.
Among the less visible changes, Ford has removed the smaller 73 kWh battery from the range. Select and Premium models now use an 88 kWh pack, while the GT and Rally receive a slightly larger 91 kWh battery.
Ford has not yet released official 2027 range estimates, but the 2026 figures provide a guide. Select and Premium models with eAWD are rated at 300 miles, while their RWD versions reach 320 miles. The performance-oriented GT offers 280 miles, and the Rally is rated for 255 miles.
Ford has also developed a redesigned front electric motor that matches the output of the previous unit while costing less to manufacture.

The main addition for 2027 is the Trail Package, offered as an option on the Select eAWD. It targets buyers seeking greater adventure capability without stepping up to the range-topping Rally.
The Mach-E Trail features Carbon Black trim on the front bumper and 19-inch High Gloss Dark Carbonized Gray alloy wheels borrowed from the Mach-E Rally. They are wrapped in the same Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires. The package also brings revised suspension tuning, lifting the front axle by 10 mm (0.4 inches) and the rear by 15 mm (0.6 inches), along with the Rally's steering rack.

Inside, the central armrest carries an embossed Trail logo. An available Interior Protection Package adds all-weather floor mats and a cargo cover. The standard 400W Pro Power Onboard system also gains outlets in the rear and cargo area for charging devices and powering camping equipment.
Trail buyers receive 100,000 Ford Rewards points in addition to the standard 22,000 points. The points can be used toward outdoor accessories, parts, or merchandise. Customers planning to carry additional equipment can also choose Thule's optional Clamp On Cross Bar Kit for bikes, kayaks, or other gear.

Ford's latest BlueCruise 1.5 hands-free highway driving system is standard on the GT and Rally, with a service plan covering one year plus 90 days. It remains optional on the Select, Premium, and Select-based Trail. Ford Connectivity and Security Packages are now standard across the lineup for one year, or can be purchased as a one-time option.
The 2027 Mustang Mach-E starts at $42,040 for the new Select RWD, including destination and delivery. Although that is higher than the 2026 model year's entry price, it provides a less expensive route to the extended-range battery. Ford will announce pricing for the remaining models later, with orders opening October 22.
The Trail Package is priced at $2,295, and initial deliveries are scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
Nick Rallis, Ford's Lead Mustang Mach-E Vehicle Integration Engineer, said: "Together, they make Mustang Mach-E Trail capable for off-pavement driving, whether that's loose gravel, sand, or a two-track dirt road, with a significant traction benefit in winter conditions as well. It's built for all-season, off-pavement excursions, so customers headed to a trailhead, a campsite, or everyday driving through changing weather get real added confidence."

For 2027, the Ford Mustang Mach-E drops its smaller battery, makes extended-range capacity standard, and introduces the adventure-focused Trail Package for Select eAWD buyers. The lineup also gains a redesigned front motor, expanded standard connectivity features, and available BlueCruise 1.5. Prices start at $42,040 including destination and delivery, while Trail deliveries begin in the first quarter of 2027.
