The EV3 is Kia’s most affordable electric vehicle, with pricing starting at $29,890. However, large dealer markups are eroding that price advantage for some customers.
One of the clearest examples is Car Pros Kia Glendale in California. Its $47,385 EV3 GT carries a $4,995 “market adjustment,” along with several expensive add-ons: $1,995 for Lojack, $499 for wheel locks, and $149 for a roadside kit.
After those charges, plus the $85 document fee and $37 filing fee, the total reaches $55,145. That is $7,760 above MSRP, especially difficult to justify when a 2026 EV6 GT-Line starts at $48,700.

Although that appears to be the biggest markup, numerous dealers are adding costly accessories to the new EV. Hendrick Kia of Concord, North Carolina, has added $997 in dealer-installed options to an EV3 GT-Line, apparently consisting of $499 for window tint, $199 for an infotainment protector, and $299 for door edge guards.
Sunset Kia of Sarasota is taking a similar approach. Its $45,575 EV3 GT-Line includes a $995 dealer “value package” with two oil changes, nitrogen tire inflation, door edge guards, door cups, and a DuPont coating.

Fortunately, better deals are available. Ourisman Kia of Bethesda, Maryland, is discounting its $36,685 EV3 Wind by $1,834. With an additional $1,500 in Kia cash, the price falls to $33,351 before the $800 processing fee.
In Florida, Courtesy Kia of Brandon is offering $2,098 off a $36,685 EV3 Wind, more than offsetting its $998 in tag and pre-delivery fees.
As ever, comparing dealers can save buyers thousands of dollars. There is little reason to accept a markup on a mainstream model.

Although the Kia EV3 starts at $29,890, dealer pricing varies widely. One California store has added a $4,995 market adjustment and thousands of dollars in accessories to an EV3 GT, while other dealers are charging for costly packages. However, discounts are available, including offers on EV3 Wind models in Maryland and Florida, making comparison shopping especially worthwhile.
